Coming from a background in thermal engineering, I have always been driven by a deep passion for video games. It all started at a very young age, with iconic consoles like the PlayStation 1 and the GameCube, before finally getting my own console: the PlayStation 2. It was at this moment that a true love affair with gaming began. My first game on which I spent countless hours was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Inspired by the trickshots of the FaZe clan, I quickly fell in love with the sniper style in FPS games. I then progressed through the Call of Duty franchise until Black Ops 2 on PS3, where I reached a near-professional level by the end of the season. I regularly participated in competitions, including a memorable final won against the OpTic team. After Black Ops 2, everything changed. I left the world of console gaming for that of PC gaming, discovering demanding FPS games like Counter-Strike, where I managed to reach the Global Elite rank. Even today, I am passionate about competitive games like Fortnite and Valorant, which I still play at a high level. But between these two periods, one element changed profoundly: my setup. I had invested in a high-performance gaming PC, a good monitor, and a quality mouse. However, one crucial detail was overlooked: the mousepad. Using a poor-quality pad was limiting my performance. A question then naturally arose: Why do we give so much importance to the mouse, the screen or the PC, but almost never to the mouse pad? It was from this reflection that Hydra was born. I decided to create a mousepad brand capable of seamlessly connecting each element of the setup, without one interfering with the performance of the others. A mousepad designed as a central piece, combining design, precision, and performance. Thus was born the Hydra custom RGB mousepad: a perfect balance between aesthetics and efficiency, designed to offer the ideal match between the mouse, the player and their environment. Hydra is more than just a mouse pad. It's a tool designed for those who want to optimize their setup, push their limits, and write their own legend in video games.
